U.S. Option Fees

1. U.S. Options

Moomoo SG clients may choose according to their preferred plan based on Fixed Plan or Tiered Plan for US Options.

 

1.1 Fixed Plan

Notes:

1. If the cumulative number of contracts traded each month is less than 200, it is recommended to choose the Fixed Plan.

2. If the cumulative number of contracts traded each month is more than 200, it is recommended to choose the Tiered Plan.

3. If you choose to switch to the Tiered Plan, the cumulative number of contracts for the current month will be recalculated upon the switch, and you can only switch once per calendar day.
The cumulative number of monthly contracts will be calculated in calendar months, and will begin from 0 on the first day of each month or when switching your plan.

For example: If the user switched their plan on 20 January, the cumulative number of monthly contracts for the new plan will be calculated upon the switch in plan from 20 January* to 31 January.
*In scenarios such as GTC where charges may apply after market closure, the effective date is calculated based on the actual deduction time. In some cases, it may take effect on the second day of the switch.

4. When the account opening process is completed, the US Options trading defaults to the Fixed Plan. You may feel free to switch the fee plan at your own preference.

5. From 24 November 2023, the Tiered Plan is officially launched. The original "Plan one" was renamed to "Fixed Plan" and the charges remains unchanged.

6. The Singapore government will levy a Goods and Services Tax (GST) on all the above fees at a rate of 9% with effect from 1 January 2024.

7. An order can be divided into multiple transactions but Commission and Platform Fees will only be charged once.

8. The transaction fees of valid orders before your cancellation shall be settled according to the trading day. The transactions on the same trading day shall be regarded as one order, and the transactions on different trading days shall be regarded as different orders for charging.

Notes:

1. Trading Activity Fees revised to $0.00279 per contract,minimum $0.01 per trade from 1 January 2024 EST.

2. Options Regulatory Fees revised to $0.01 per contract from 23 October 2023 EST.

3. The Singapore government will levy a Goods and Services Tax (GST) on all the above fees at a rate of 9% with effect from 1 January 2024.

4. The Options Regulatory Fee ('ORF') is a fee assessed by exchanges on their members. The ORF fees are typically passed-through by members to their customers. ORF is collected by The Options Clearing Corp ("The OCC") on behalf of the U.S. options Exchanges. The stated purpose of the fee is to recover a portion of the costs related to the supervision and regulation of the options markets. These activities include routine surveillance, investigations, as well as policy, rulemaking, interpretive and enforcement activities. The applicable fee rate may result in a discrepancy with the fee charged by the upstream brokers or the relevant exchanges, and any excess fee will be retained while deficiency will not be charged to clients.

5. US Option settlement fees are assessed by US clearing, settlement, and other institutions to cover costs including but not limited to NSCC and DTC fees and use a blended rate. The blended rate may result in a discrepancy, and any excess fee will be retained while deficiency will not be charged.

6. The SEC Fees and Trading Activity Fees are charged only at the time of sale.

With effect from 1 January 2024, the Singapore government will levy a Goods and Services Tax (GST) at a rate of 9% on the above fees. As services provided by Moomoo SG are subject to GST at the prevailing rate, the GST will be levied on all relevant domestic and foreign fees, including but not limited to commissions, platform fees and exchange related fees (applicable to Singapore tax residents). In accordance with the guidance of the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS), 9% GST (Goods and Services Tax) is applicable to transactions settled on or after 1 January 2024.
